How it works
A free call first, then licensed matches only if you want them
The steps
- 1Tell us about the jobThe request form takes about four minutes: what you want done, a rough budget, your timing and the address.
- 2A qualifying callRevival calls you between 8 AM and 9 PM. We go over the scope, the budget, the timing and the town, and tell you which town or village office issues your permit.
- 3Matches with licensed contractorsAs our first licensed partners sign, we match you with up to 2 vetted, licensed contractors who fit the job, each checked for license and insurance on the day of the introduction.
- 4Their walk-through and estimateThe contractors you choose come out, walk through the job and give you their own written estimates. Revival does not visit homes or price work.
- 5You hire and pay the contractor directlyYour contract is with the contractor you choose, and so are the payments. Revival is not part of the contract.
What Revival promises
Revival's help is free for homeowners. You never pay Revival anything, and you are free to hire anyone, including a contractor we never mentioned.
- Only licensed contractors join the network, and we check each license and insurance certificate again at every introduction.
- Every introduction names any personal or business tie between Revival or its owners and that contractor.
- On a mold job, the assessor and the remediator are never the same company, as New York's mold law requires.
What Revival never does
Revival is a planning and consulting service. It never signs or negotiates a construction contract, takes deposits or payments for work, supervises or schedules trades, pulls permits, works an insurance claim, diagnoses mold, visits homes to inspect or estimate, or calls any renovation its own work. See who does what on a renovation, and why Revival exists.
Which projects we take
The request form takes every kind of project in Nassau and Suffolk. Matches open lane by lane as licensed partners sign: additions, kitchens and baths, and water and fire damage repair come first. A project outside a covered lane or area still gets the qualifying call, with no introduction.
Water coming in right now? Shut off the water if you can and call a licensed plumber or your insurance company first. Revival is not an emergency service.
Questions homeowners ask
Do I pay Revival anything?
No. Revival's help is free for homeowners. You agree on your price directly with the contractor you choose, from their own estimate.
Do I have to hire a contractor Revival introduces?
No. You are free to hire anyone, including a contractor we never mentioned, or to do nothing at all.
Will Revival share my phone number with contractors?
Never without your signed consent. Before any detail goes to a contractor, you sign a separate consent that names that contractor, its license number and the phone number it may call.
Does someone from Revival come to my house?
No. Revival works by phone and online. The licensed contractors you are introduced to are the ones who visit, walk through the job and give you an estimate.
What if no partner covers my project?
You still get the qualifying call, your permit office and our license guides. We only introduce contractors in the kinds of work and the towns our licensed partners cover.
Talk the job through before you call anyone
Tell us about the house and the job in about four minutes. Revival calls you, free, to go over the scope, the budget, the timing and your town's permit office. Contractor matches open as our first licensed partners sign.
